My plan or God's plan

"O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps." -Jeremiah 10:23

June 25th 2011. A date that I waited for and dreamed about for so long. I had plan for that day. I said that would be my wedding day. I have always wanted to be married in the month of June, 25 is my favorite number and this year it just so happened that it landed on a Saturday. I just figured that God would bring the guy along in time for my plan to work. That didn't happen though and I'm thankful for that. God obviously had a lesson for me to learn.

It's so easy to take our lives into our own hands, isn't it? We think our plan is so wonderful. I am grateful for all the times that God has foiled my plan. I am thankful that God has a greater plan for me than I can even imagine. He sees the whole picture!

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." -Jeremiah 29:11

I have chosen to trade my plan for God's plan. I may not see the whole plan but I know that God does and He is in control. That's good enough for me! What about you?
